Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college CEGEP vocational or technical trainingCredentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not requiredExperience: 1 year to less than 2 yearsLanguages: Speak English, Read English, Write EnglishWork Setting: Caf Counter Attendant and Food Preparer Skills: Take customers orders, Prepare, heat and finish simple food items, Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs, Portion and wrap foods, Package take-out food, Stock refrigerators and salad bars, Keep records of the quantities of food usedKitchen Helping Skills: Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit, Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment, Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas, Handle and store cleaning products, Sweep and mop floorsBussing Skills: Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs, Assist food and beverage servers in formal service activitiesDishwashing Skills: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware, Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by handWeight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)Transportation Travel Information: Own transportation, Public transportation is availableWork Location Information: Urban areaEssential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Continuous learning |
