Education: Completion of high schoolCredentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate, Red Cross Babysitting course, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) CertificateExperience: 1 year to less than 2 yearsLanguages: Speak English, Read English, Write EnglishChildren s Ages: School age (6 - 12 years)Work Setting: Employer s homeSpecific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Help children with homework, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Read to children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Take children to and from school and to appointmentsSecurity and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, Child welfare checkTransportation Travel Information: Willing to travel, Public transportation is not availableOther Information: Must have 1 year full time experience within the last 3 years. Must reside in the employers home for the duration of employment. Private room provided. Room and board charge $336 per month. |
